Johnny Depp, an American actor and producer, has revealed that he will offer non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on his own artwork. Heath Ledger, Tim Burton, and other actors’ portraits have been transformed into non-fungible tokens.

The ‘Never Fear Truth’ collection includes portraits of Depp’s friends and heroes, including Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Hunter S. Thompson, Heath Ledger, Lily-Rose Depp, Tim Burton, Depp’s late dog Mooh, Depp himself, and Bunnyman, a fictional character created by his son.

According to rumours, the collection was inspired by Johnny Depp’s original artwork, which was enhanced and animated into 11,111 NFTs. Non-fungible tokens are digital assets that be purchased and sold using block chain technology but have no physical form. Twenty-five percent of all sales earnings will be donated to charities sponsored by Depp or located near the topics in the artwork. The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Perth Children’s Hospital, and The Gonzo Trust are among them.

“I’ve always used art to communicate my sentiments and to reflect on those who matter most to me, including my family, friends, and individuals I admire,” Depp said in a statement, according to NME. My paintings are everywhere around me, yet I keep them to myself and keep them confined. No one should ever put herself in a box. As a result, we’ve chosen to issue a series of photos, but in a way that gives back. It’s a great privilege to be able to thank my fans and support the charities that have meant so much to my family. I’m hoping we can form a new friendship group around these NFTs. My involvement in the NFT space is only getting started.”

Those who acquire an NFT will have access to Depp’s Discord community. 10,000 NFTs will be available for purchase through the collection’s official website beginning Wednesday, January 26. Depp will keep the remaining 1,111 NFTs and distribute them to fans and charity who have supported him.

Following filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, who published content for Pulp Fiction, and David Lynch, who teamed up with Interpol to offer fans the chance to own their 2011 Coachella performance, Johnny Depp is the latest celebrity to announce an NFT collection.
